It only takes about 50 milliseconds to click a mouse.
Clicking a mouse is all it takes to vote in #MMPoetry.
And voting in #MMPoetry is all it takes for teachers and school librarians to earn a chance to win 50 (FIFTY!) kids’ poetry books for their classroom!
What does a bookshelf of 50 kids’ poetry books look like? It looks like this:
Or, if you arranged them all with their covers facing out, like this:
No matter which way you look at it, 50 books is a CRAZY number of books to give away, and YOU COULD WIN THEM ALL!
Here’s how:
- If you are a teacher or school librarian, register your classroom as an OFFICIAL voting classroom for the March Madness Poetry 2014 tournament.
- Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 20th — PEAK MADNESS — when all 32 first round matchups (64 poems in all) are live and waiting for your vote. Voting continues through Thursday, April 10th.
- Read awesome kids’ poems, discuss them as a group, and cast your votes! For every official vote that your classroom submits throughout the tournament, you’ll earn one chance to win the grand prize! You’ll have opportunities to turn your votes into other poetry prizes along the way, too.
Answers to frequently asked questions about official classroom voting is included on the registration page.
